The electricity grid operators Austrian Power Grid (APG) and TINETZ are currently building the new 380/110 kV substation at Matrei in East Tyrol. Its key element, a 380/110 kV transformer weighing 236 tons, will be delivered during the night of April 1 to 2. In the future, it will connect the Austria-wide APG grid with the regional distribution grid of TINETZ, which will significantly improve the electricity supply to the Isel Valley and the whole of East Tyrol. There will be a temporary diversion and traffic disruptions along the transport route.
Route:
From the Lienz substation in Nußdorf/Debant via the B100 to Lienz, through the town area of Lienz and on via the B108 to Matrei/Seblas.
Time Interval:
From April 1, about 7 p.m. to April 2, about 5 a.m.
Diversions and closures:
- Traffic will be temporarily diverted from the B108 via the L393 (Kienburger Landesstraße) in the area between St. Johann and Huben
- Temporary complete closure of the B108 for a few minutes to set up and dismantle a flyover in the area of the Leibnitzbach Bridge; the schedule takes into account the 10 p.m. shift change at Liebherr in Lienz.
APG endeavors to deviate the normal traffic around the heavy goods transport as best as possible along the entire route to keep the traffic disruption to a minimum.
